Most Rev. Dr. Bernard Moras
I am happy indeed to hear of the release of the Diamond Jubilee issue of your school magazine STARLITE. Even amidst the whole gamut of the electronic media and information superhighways, the print media has stood the test of time and is here to stay. Long-before the advent of the electronic media, it was the word in print that shaped the minds of the world. Swiss-American visual Artist and composer Christian Marclay once remarked "Unlike sitting at a computer screen, printing is very direct and hands-on." The age-old proverb: "The Pen is Mightier than the Sword" means "the writers of the world invisibly exercise greater infl uence upon people than soldiers."
I am sure the contribution of writers for the STARLITE magazine will profoundly infl uence the minds of its readers to become catalysts for a change in society.
I am also pleased to know that Stella Maris School has been making constant efforts in providing students with 'life-skills' which is the need of the hour, as handling-life must go along with Academic excellence.
While I wish for the successful release of the Diamond Jubilee issue of STARLITE, I accord my cordial blessings upon the Institution.
Yours in Christ,
Most Rev. Dr. Bernard Moras
