Golden Jubilee Year

The Golden Jubilee Year of Stella Maris was celebrated with great fervour and enthusiasm. There were a series of events starting from September 2006 culminating in a three day celebration from 3 rd Sept to 5 th Sept 2007.

On 3rd September the students and staff gathered together for a Thanksgiving prayer followed by lunch for all of them. On 4th September the Thanksgiving Mass was officiated by the Most Rev. Dr. Bernard Moras the Archbishop of Bangalore. A large number of people attended the Mass and then everybody took part in a fellowship meal. On 5th September the final day, the students put up a cultural extravaganza, a thrilling and heartwarming performance consisting of a Musical – LIFE A Miracle and other songs and dances. The Provincial Superior Sister Irene Jane D'Souza presided over the function. The Guests of Honour were Lok Ayukta Justice N. Santhosh Hegde, Mr. M R. Seetharam MLA, Mr. Gangappa Gowda JDPI and the Chief Guest Most Rev. Dr. Bernard Moras Archbishop of Bangalore.

The series of events culminating in the grand celebrations were as follows:

Sept 2006   Inauguration of the Golden Jubilee Year StellaR and release of a souvenir brochure.
Also Launch of the Raffle Gold Pot.

Oct 2006   Fancy Festival STELFEST (Goldfest) for 2 days on a weekend – Distribution of prizes for the Gold Pot winners.

Dec 2006   Christmas celebration with charitable activities, including those for poor and orphaned children.

Jan 2007   StelTrophy interschool cultural and sports competition for neighbourhood schools.

Feb 2007   Usha Uthup Benefit show for fund raising. Workshops and seminars for students.

Mar 2007   ParentSkool workshop and seminars for parents

June 2007   GreenGold festival on the occasion of Vanamahotsava

July 2007   StelExpo science and art exhibition separately by the students of each class.

Aug-Sept 07   Series of valedictory events culminating in the StellaPeak cultural event.
