I am indeed glad to know that the School Magazine ‘Starlite’ is being brought out this year to mark the ‘Diamond Jubilee’ of Stella Maris Educational Institutions. I feel truly honoured of being asked to give a message on this occasion.

Stella Maris is highly appreciated for the value based education imparted to the young under her embrace. Thousands of students of the past sixty years recall with nostalgia the years they spent in the bosom of Stella Maris, their Alma Mater. They take pride in saying that they are Ex-Stella Marians. May this Diamond Jubilee issue of ‘Starlite’ remind them of the bygone days, happy and delightful ones.

Sixty years of unstinted service to humanity is indeed an event to be celebrated. I snatch this golden opportunity to wish you well and thank all those who have been a part of this growing institution. Thanks to the committed and dedicated service of the teaching and non-teaching staff of the past and the present and the enthusiastic students who co-operated with them. I pour out my profound gratitude to the parents and well wishers of Stella Maris; if not for their support the institution would not have reached the pinnacle of name and fame.

On this joyous occasion I congratulate all of you and pray that the Almighty God may shower His blessings on each one of you. May Stella Maris grow higher and stronger as she marches towards platinum years.

May Mary, the Star of the Sea guide you towards a bright and gainful future.
